LANDSHAFT by Daniel Kötter
@Vision du Réel, Nyon
Landshaft sketches the psychogeography of a geopolitically charged landscape and its inhabitants between extractivism, war and displacement. In the form of a journey in eastern Armenia, the film follows human and non-human actors as they make their way through the landscape, from Lake Sevan to the Sotk gold mine, occupied by Azerbaijan since the Karabakh War in 2020.
GEHEN UND BLEIBEN (Leaving and staying) Uwe Johnson directed by Volker Koepp
Motifs of leaving and staying and the confrontation with German history run through the work of Uwe Johnson (1934-1984) , whose texts Volker Koepp uses to travel to the biographical and literary regions of the writer, above all to the north-east of Germany, to people who tell of their lives in the immediate present, of their memories, of persevering in the places of their origins, of moving away and also of Uwe Johnson.
